She also wears red sneakers and white socks, and wears a pair of dolphin shorts that have white rims and side slits.

History[]

Pre-Sunset Paradise[]

Not much is known about Meggy's most major parts of the past, but she originally lived in Inkopolis. While training, she hopped into a can of ink, and was sent to the Mushroom Kingdom, where Mario discovered her, and the two became friends. In the Anime Arc, Meggy transformed into Human presumably due to losing all of her ink. In the YouTube Arc, Meggy gained a Human voice as a result of SMG3's remote zapping Meggy into speaking more common English. After the events of Meggy’s Destiny, SMG4 Officer Meggy, SMG4 Meggy’s Part-Time Job, SMG4 Mario VS YouTubers, and SMG4 the pursuit of Happiness, She decided to go on a vacation to Port Aurora. However, the trip wouldn't be as expected. The pilot takes place after SMG4 My New Adventure.

Sunset Paradise (Pilot Episode)[]

After leaving the SMG4 crew, Meggy emerged from a well and fought Shadow Meggy in a dream sequence. Unfortunately, Shadow Meggy emerged victorious, leaving Meggy to admit her inability to escape from her own self. The ship’s air horn blared, awakening Meggy and signaling their arrival on the S.S. Tortle. Curious about their location, Meggy inquired with the attendant if they had reached Port Aurora yet. To her surprise, a turtle carrying a television on its back approached her and spat out a remote control. Repulsed, Meggy picked up the remote and watched a commercial. The advertisement informed her about the upcoming Phoenix Festival, which failed to capture her interest. However, the advertisement piqued her curiosity by warning against going out after dark. Perplexed by this statement, Meggy sought clarification from the attendant, only to have them flee. This sudden turn of events caused Meggy to experience a slight surge of stress, but she regained her composure.

Upon her arrival in Port Aurora, Meggy outlined her planned activities for the day, including a visit to the beach followed by a trip to the market. However, hearing the Turkey in the Straw Ice Cream jingle abruptly interrupted her, causing her to exclaim with delight. Aziz responded with a dismissive scoff and muttered something under his breath. Meggy overheard his remark and inquired, “Huh?” Sensing her confusion, Aziz adjusted his tone and inquired about her preferred ice cream flavor. Meggy requested a serving of the Bam Bam Banana Fam Ice Cream, to which Aziz quoted a price of 12 Tully’s. This unexpected amount caught Meggy off guard, prompting a surprised reaction. Aziz justified the price, claiming it to be fair. Although Meggy appeared outraged, she composed herself before taking any further action and paid the 12 Tullys. However, before Aziz could prepare her ice cream, Auri Bori arrived on the scene and noticed that Aziz’s ice cream cart was leaking some black substance. Aziz attempted to brush off the issue, insisting that it was ice cream juice. Auri, however, discovered a squid in the cart, prompting Aziz to once again dismiss it as an “ice cream squid” and claim it as a traditional ingredient from his homeland. Auri found a gun, leading Aziz to comment on the perilous nature of the ice cream business. Auri closed Aziz’s Ice Cream Stand until the infringements were resolved. Meggy, seeking a refund, approached Aziz, who refused and advised her to blame the deputy instead. Frustrated, Meggy sarcasticly thanked Auri for halting the rogue ice cream vendor and inquired about the level of crime on the island. Auri informed Meggy that he dealt with a multitude of infringement tickets daily and introduced himself as Auri. By this point, however, Meggy had already vanished, seeking refuge behind a nearby booth.

Meggy experienced a sudden jolt of surprise when the proprietor of the booth returned and inquired about her presence, questioning her intentions and suggesting that she depart if she had no intention of making a purchase. In that moment, a shirt caught her attention, prompting her to ask its price. Meggy attempted to buy apples, only to have them snatched away by a mischievous monkey each time she attempted to grab one. After enduring this ordeal thrice, Meggy resorted to pelting the monkey with green grapes, striking it on the head. This action, however, provoked an unexpected response from the monkey, as it brandished a knife and pursued her. Later on, Meggy went fishing and experienced a surge of joy upon catching a fish. However, her elation was short-lived, as a shark emerged from the water, devouring her prized catch. This turn of events ignited a flame of anger within Meggy her to plunge into the water, confront the shark, reclaim her fish, and leave the defeated shark tethered to a nearby lamppost. Meggy settled on a bench, preparing to indulge in a delectable ice cream treat, until Aziz appeared and slapped it out of her hand, deriving amusement from her misfortune before retreating. This act of cruelty evoked a fierce glare of fury from Meggy. Last, Meggy achieved victory in a can-shooting game, earning herself three prizes.

In the evening, Meggy expressed that her first day wasn’t too bad, except for the absence of ice cream. She spotted an ice cream shop and hurried towards it. However, upon arrival, she was dismayed to witness a group of bandits wreaking havoc in the store. Yam, the leader of the Spud Budds, informed Meggy that they had reserved the place for a private gathering. Although Meggy was about to voice her concerns, the baggage porter advised her against it. In response, Meggy crossed her arms and scoffed, reluctantly complying with the situation. It wasn’t because she was told not to interfere, but because she wanted to enjoy her vacation without getting into a confrontation. Auri, attempting to restore justice, issued an infringement ticket to the Spud Budds. However, they brushed it aside, causing Auri to threaten them with more tickets. The bandits threatened him and revealed their intention to harm him, overpowering him when he tried to fight back with his spear. Unable to stand idly by, Meggy intervened and ordered the Spud Budds to back off. This resulted in the baggage porter throwing Meggy’s suitcase aside and leaving before the altercation escalated further. Yam instructed Meggy to stay out of their affairs, emphasizing that they had plenty of unresolved anger issues to deal with. Curious about their motives regarding Auri, Meggy questioned Yam, highlighting that he was just a child. The Spud Budds responded by stating that children could perish just as easily as anyone else, emphasizing their non-discriminatory nature as a criminal organization and their willingness to harm even a young girl. During the chaos, Duke threw an ice cream cone, accidentally hitting Meggy’s new shirt. This infuriated her and sparked a fight between Meggy and the Spud Budds. Meggy retaliated by kicking Russet, while Mash attempted to shoot at her. However, Meggy evaded the shots and deflected the bullet into the barrel of Mash’s gun, causing it to jam. She then kicked Duke behind the counter. In response, the Spud Budds retaliated by throwing ice cream at Meggy, but she dodged the projectiles and seek cover behind a nearby table. Meanwhile, Auri regained consciousness and struck Yam, but his strength was insufficient, leading to him being punched out of the ice cream store. Meggy observed Yam preparing to deliver the final blow to Auri, prompting her to hurl a green pinecone that struck Yam’s posterior, granting Auri the opportunity to escape and retrieve his weapon. Meanwhile, Russet stumbled upon a cherry bomb concealed behind the counter of the ice cream shop. Igniting it, Russet instructed Mash to detonate the explosive, tossing the cherry bombs. In a nimble display, Meggy emerged from her hiding spot behind the table, evading each explosive, leaping through the window of the ice cream store and landing outside. Finding herself in a tense confrontation with the Spud Budds, Meggy received a directive from Auri, urging her to flee and seek refuge while they were preoccupied with pummeling him. However, Meggy opted not to follow through with this plan and instead noticed the Phoenix Festival banner. Seizing Auri’s spear, she employed it to topple the banner, striking a nearby torch and igniting it, thus creating a barrier of flames that separated both factions. Despite her attempts to taunt them, Yam disclosed they had her suitcase.

The Spud Budds escaped, leaving Meggy seething with anger and delivering a sarcastic remark before she could finish her statement. However, her comment was interrupted by Auri, who praised Meggy for her skills. Meggy acknowledged that Auri’s intentions were good, but she needed the sheriff’s help to retrieve her luggage and receive proper help. Auri informed her that there was no sheriff on the island and that he was the sole law enforcement in town. This revelation left Meggy in a state of shock and surprise, but Auri assured her he was more than capable of tracking down the culprits and that he knew the island better than anyone else. Meggy agreed and instructed him to meet her there the following day. She then settled for sleeping in a cardboard box since her suitcase contained her hotel reservation. However, Auri offered her a place to stay at his home and even suggested having some ice cream. Later on, Meggy inquired about Auri’s motives for playing deputy and expressed concern for his safety. Auri enlightened her about the Phenix Festival, a rare event that occurs once every century when the phoenix ashes reappear in the Borealis lighthouse, and its significance to Aura Boras. He also revealed that something was amiss, as criminals had been infiltrating the island, posing a threat not only to their town but also to the festival itself. Auri emphasized that most of the local Aura Boras were rather timid, and since no one else will take action, he had to step up and fill the role, leaving Meggy impressed. Before she could respond, Auri yawned, stating that it was well past his bedtime and he needed to sleep in order to stake out the flea market the next morning. He referred to Meggy as his partner. Despite Meggy’s intention to object, Auri had already drifted off to sleep.

Sunset Paradise (EP 2: The Silence of the Yams)[]

Meggy was observing the flea market alone, keeping an eye out for the mischievous “luggage stealing tater tots.” Auri appeared in front of her binoculars, startling her and causing her to let out a scream. Reacting, she grabbed him and executed a German suplex wrestling move. As soon as Meggy realized it was Auri, she apologized for her actions. However, Auri’s enthusiastic response, shouting “cool wrestling move!” and getting close to her, made Meggy feel slightly uncomfortable. Auri then asked if she could teach him how to perform the move. Curious about Auri’s street interviews, Meggy inquired about their progress. Auri expressed his difficulties, mentioning that people were not willing to talk to him. As a result, he resorted to printing out wanted flyers instead. Meggy suggested they investigate together, offering to show him a thing or two. Auri revealed he had also visited the printers for another reason. He explained that since Meggy didn’t want to be his partner, he had appointed her as his supervisor instead. an explosion occurred nearby, startling Meggy. She asked Auri if this was normal, and he replied it wasn’t, since explosions were banned on weekdays. Through her binoculars, Meggy spotted Duke, a member of Spud Budd’s group. Coming up with a plan, she suggested to Auri that they should sneak up on them. However, Auri charged in before she could finish her sentence, causing Meggy to groan in frustration and follow him. As they approached, Yam noticed their presence, and the Spud Budds escaped through the market, heading towards an empty building. Meggy and Auri reached the rooftop, where they could see the silhouettes of the Spud Budds. Meggy proposed they should stay hidden in the shadows and surprise them. However, just as she said this, the glass beneath them gave way, causing them to fall through. After recovering from the fall, Meggy realized that the Spud Budds had created decoys of themselves and a tape player playing their voices. The Spud Budds surrounded them and launched an attack. In a moment of quick thinking, Meggy hurls the tape player towards a switch, plunging the room into darkness. In the ensuing chaos, the groups engage in a fierce altercation. Yam, Mash, and Russet break free and make a swift getaway, while Duke finds himself trapped between Meggy and Auri. To defend himself, Duke denies ever having stolen anything before the duo catches sight of the instrument he had pilfered from the concert.

Duke is subsequently found bound, and Auri cordially greets him as they enter the interrogation room. Duke remarks that it resembles his kitchen more than anything else, while Meggy is caught in the act of happily munching on chips. Swiftly, Meggy conceals the bag of chips behind her back. Auri attempts to intimidate Duke, emphasizing that they will employ any means necessary to extract information from him. In an accidental turn of events, Auri unintentionally splashes Duke's face with a glass of water. Meggy intervenes, instructing Auri to step back and asserting that she will take charge of the interrogation. Meggy brandishes a flamethrower and positions it near Duke's face, but their interaction is abruptly interrupted by a musician who arrives to retrieve an instrument. The musician commences playing, and Duke begins to hum along. It is then revealed that Duke possesses a fondness for music, which they exploit to their advantage. Subsequently, they uncover Duke's passion for music and his aspiration to become a musician prior to joining the Spud Buds. Auri assures Duke that it is not too late for him to embark on a musical career, even suggesting that he could potentially become a star. Auri proposes a deal to Duke, offering assistance in realizing his dreams if he discloses the whereabouts of the other Spud Buds. Duke agrees to aid Meggy and Auri in defeating his former allies, ultimately divulging the location of the Spud Buds' hideout.

At the hideout of the Spud Budds, they engaged in a discussion about the potential consequences from their boss if they failed to carry out the deputy's execution for the second time. However, their worries were alleviated when they reassured themselves that there was nothing to be concerned about. Eventually, the Spud Budds realized that Duke was missing. Yam decided to investigate whether Duke was trapped in the safe again, but to his surprise, the vault was empty, except for Meggy's stolen suitcase from the first episode and the bag of items they had stolen earlier in the episode. The other Spud Budds assumed that Duke had met his demise. Meanwhile, Duke, Meggy, and Auri found themselves concealed in the shadows of the garbage dump, with Duke inquiring about their plan. Meggy mentioned that she had observed lax security, but Auri interrupted her by suggesting whether they should sneak in and discreetly incapacitate their adversaries while the squad was arguing. Duke panicked and ran away, screaming. Meanwhile, the remaining Spud Budds were seen mourning Duke's supposed death. However, Duke's impulsive actions of charging in and screaming alerted the Spud Budds, who commended him for bringing the deputy to them. Meggy informed the Spud Budds that Duke had done it so they could overpower their opponents. Duke expressed his remorse to the Spud Budds, but Meggy and Auri showed him an escape route. The Spud Budds reminded Duke of their shared history, and he made the decision to abandon his dream and align himself with them, betraying Auri and Meggy in the process. This caused Meggy to regret not using a blowtorch on Duke. Suddenly, Meggy was struck by a french fry and pretended to be dead. Once Auri realized that Meggy was still alive, he feigned sadness and approached the Spud Budds with an expression of defeat. Seizing the opportunity, Meggy swiftly rose and discovered a vacuum nearby in the garbage. She used it to trap Yam, Russet, and Mash inside, while Duke apologized for his betrayal and allowed Auri to handcuff him. Duke informed Meggy that her suitcase was in the safe, but when she went to open it, she discovered that it was gone, revealing the presence of a cat burglar who managed to escape. Meggy and Auri made the decision to pursue the cat burglar tomorrow as it is getting late.

Afterwards, Auri confines the vacuum and Duke within his residence while Meggy broods. Auri encourages Meggy to adopt a positive outlook, highlighting their recent triumph over an entire criminal gang. Meggy lets out a sigh, acknowledging this fact but expressing her frustration at being back to square one in retrieving her belongings. Auri reassures her that they have another thrilling escapade ahead, urging her to cease worrying as they will successfully recover her possessions and apprehend the thief. This uplifts Meggy's spirits, leading her to admit that he is indeed correct.

Sunset Paradise (EP 3: Reservoir Cats)[]

During the investigation of a robbery, Meggy stumbled upon a mask and deduced that the thief who stole her suitcase the previous day was the same culprit behind the artifact theft. Just as Meggy was processing this information, the museum curator arrived, expressing apologies for the delay and offering assistance. The curator informed Meggy and Auri that the stolen item was a painting of the late Sheriff Aloysius Bori. Intrigued, Meggy showed the curator the mask found at the crime scene, inquiring if he had seen anything similar before. To her surprise, the curator confirmed that he had indeed encountered such a mask and offered to investigate further. Grateful for the help, Meggy thanked him and expressed her appreciation for any potential leads. Meanwhile, Auri was occupied with repairing a broken statue, attempting to reattach its nose. Suddenly, he was propelled backward and ended up sticking to Meggy's back, much to her annoyance. As they were dealing with this unexpected situation, the museum curator returned and questioned their identities. Perplexed, Meggy and Auri explained that they were the same individuals and had become unintentionally stuck together. However, the curator denied any prior knowledge of them, asserting that he was the sole curator in the museum. Realizing that the curator they had spoken to earlier was actually the disguised cat burglar, Meggy and Auri swiftly concluded their true intentions and gave chase. Unfortunately, their pursuit was short-lived as the cat burglar retaliated, causing Meggy to stumble and fall. Instructing them to cease their pursuit, the cat burglar managed to escape. Meggy felt frustrated and disappointed that the only clue they had was now lost, realizing that without further leads, tracking down the cat burglar would be challenging. However, Auri revealed that the cat burglar had left a calling card, which caught Meggy's attention. Curious, she asked if it was a distinctive trademark, to which Auri clarified that it was a literal calling card. Handing it over, Auri unveiled the name of the hotel where the cat burglar was currently staying.

Meggy and Auri arrived at the Hotel Aurora and pressed the bell for the Bell Man. Chet expressed his apologies, acknowledging that the hotel was currently short-staffed, and inquired about how he could assist them. Auri presented Chet with a photograph of the cat burglar and informed him that they were searching for one of the guests residing at the hotel. Chet immediately responded by mentioning the name Whisk, prompting Meggy to request him to repeat it. However, Chet deceitfully claimed that he wished there was someone as remarkable and extraordinary as Whisk present in the vicinity. Meggy cleverly caught him in the act by pointing out Whisk's mask and utility belt, questioning Chet about their owner. Chet, in an attempt to evade suspicion, stated that he was unaware and justified it by mentioning that numerous guests at the hotel possessed highly advanced cat burglary utility belts. Despite Meggy's doubts, Auri supported Chet's explanation by pointing out other guests with similar, albeit not identical, equipment. This caused Meggy to become frustrated and admonish Chet, informing him that a card from the hotel had been left at the scene of a burglary and advising him to stop pretending to be ignorant. Meggy demanded that Chet disclose any information he possessed, warning him that they would file a written complaint to the regional manager if he refused. Unable to withstand the pressure, Chet finally divulged the room number 214, and Meggy walked away, expressing her gratitude.

Meggy and Auri entered the room, appearing as if it was deserted. However, the painting remained, leading Auri to deduce that Whisk had departed hastily. Suddenly, Whisk unleashed her gas gun, enveloping both Meggy and Auri in hallucinogenic gas. As a result, they began to cough and lose focus, and Meggy found herself confronting Shadow Meggy once again, after enduring the effects of the hallucinogenic gas alongside Auri. Shadow Meggy taunted her, mocking her decision to abandon her friends to avoid interference, and belittling Auri's inability to assist her. At that moment, Auri, trapped in his own hallucination, sought solace in the presence of his "supervisor," unaware that Meggy was experiencing the same hallucination. In unison, they defiantly shouted that they disregarded the words of Shadow Meggy and Auri's illusory grandfather, causing them to retreat in fear, abruptly ending the hallucination. Before Whisk could attack them with a laser gun, a brief scuffle ensued, during which Meggy managed to knock off Whisk's mask. Overwhelmed by shyness, Whisk leaped through a nearby window and escaped using her grappling hook, leaving her mask behind. Although Meggy retrieved her suitcase, she discovered it was empty, as Whisk had already pilfered its contents, fueling Meggy's fury. Determined to reclaim her belongings, Meggy informed Auri that they needed to track down Whisk. In a twist of fate, Meggy stumbled upon the laser gun left behind by Whisk and fired it at a mirror, inadvertently causing the beam to ricochet off several reflective surfaces, separating her and Auri from each other. Meggy took hold of her suitcase, while Auri took charge of returning the painting of the late Sheriff Aloysius Bori to the museum.

Sunset Paradise (EP 4: Cat-sino Royale)[]

Meggy picked up the phone as soon as it started ringing. On the other end, Whisk engaged in a conversation with Meggy, expressing her belief that she possessed something that rightfully belonged to her. Meggy, in response, informed Whisk that if she apologized for taking her belongings, she wouldn't go after her and physically harm her. However, Whisk clarified that her call was not about an apology, but rather to propose a deal. She arranged to meet Meggy at the Crazy Coconut Theater within the Port Aurora Casino, instructing her to bring her mask and come alone. In exchange for Meggy's compliance, Whisk promised to return her belongings. Meggy pondered over the offer, and as she did, she heard some noise coming from a tree outside. Assuming it was Whisk, she impulsively threw the phone at the presumed cat burglar, only to discover that it was Aziz, who claimed to be searching for ingredients to make ice cream.

Later, Meggy arrives at the Crazy Coconut Theater located within the premises of the Port Aurora Casino. As she looks around, she finds herself wondering about the whereabouts of Whisk. Suddenly, Whisk appears behind her, brandishing her new laser weapon and pointing it at Meggy's back. In a stern tone, she instructs Meggy not to turn around and to return the mask. Reluctantly, Meggy agrees and hands over the mask to Whisk. However, when she attempts to strike Whisk in retaliation, her efforts prove to be unsuccessful. Whisk then returns to the theater and expresses her gratitude to Meggy for returning the mask, emphasizing that she never embarks on a task without it. Meggy casually responds, offering Whisk a blanket and some warm milk. Whisk acknowledges that they may have started off on the wrong foot and confides in Meggy about her weariness of living a life of crime, constantly surrounded by danger, stress, and an oppressive boss. She believes it is time for a career change. Whisk explains that starting anew requires a significant amount of money, hence the need for one final job to secure her future. She promises Meggy that if she assists her, she will return her belongings. Meggy firmly asserts that she refuses to steal from innocent individuals to cover up the mistakes of others. In response, Whisk reassures Meggy that their targets, Froy and Doy, are far from innocent. She reveals that although they are renowned magicians, their success has been built upon deceit and scams, with their ill-gotten gains stored in an underground vault. However, due to a recent bug infestation, the vault will be temporarily closed for fumigation, providing an opportune moment to strike without triggering the security system. Meggy cautiously agrees to help Whisk but warns her that any hint of betrayal will result in severe consequences. Whisk outlines the first step of their plan, which involves stealing the security keys of both Froy and Doy. She explains that she will retrieve Doy's key while Meggy will be responsible for obtaining Froy's. Later on, Meggy assumes a new identity as a reporter named Melony and attempts to "interview" Froy, who initially declines. However, she changes her strategy and decides to interview Doy instead, which ultimately convinces Froy to change his mind. As soon as Meggy takes a seat, Froy places his security key on the table in front of her and inquires about the topic she wishes to discuss. Whether it pertains to his origins, his experiences with a prestigious and foolish company, or his brief yet remarkable career in modeling, Meggy points to a photograph of Froy performing the classic sawing a woman in half trick and asks him to share the story behind it, expressing her excitement. While Froy elaborates on what had transpired, Meggy attempts to discreetly take the security key from the table. However, Tig-Tig awakens and growls at her, causing her to halt her actions. In an effort to distract Tig-Tig, Meggy tries throwing stuffed animals, but her plan proves unsuccessful. Undeterred, Meggy devises a different plan and proposes the idea of providing her readers with an exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpse into Froy's tiger training techniques. For instance, she suggests demonstrating how Froy instructs Tig-Tig to pin someone down by simply pointing and saying, "Tig-tig, wrestleshlouse!" Meggy points at Froy and utters the line, prompting Tig-Tig to pin him down, thereby allowing Meggy to retrieve Froy's security key and make her exit.

The two individuals then make an effort to access the underground vault where the money is stored, but their progress is halted by a pair of guards. While engaged in a confrontation with the guards, a blue Aura Bora accidentally collides with Whisk, causing her mask to fall off. Surprisingly, the Aura Bora proceeds to clean the mask for her, triggering a social anxiety attack in Whisk. Concerned, the blue guard inquires about Whisk's well-being. Meggy explains that Whisk is not alright and reveals that she is unaware of the substances present in the flop, which made Whisk extremely ill. In response, the orange guard advises Meggy to address the issue with the kitchen staff rather than with them. Meggy convinces the guards that they are affiliated with Froy and Doy by presenting their keys. She then demands assistance from the guards, who promptly rush off to fulfill her request. Meggy retrieves Whisk's mask from the person who was cleaning it and proceeds to reprimand them, emphasizing the importance of not taking other people's belongings and highlighting the inherent wrongness of such actions. She returns the mask to Whisk. Once inside the elevator, Meggy shares a personal anecdote about a friend who experiences anxiety around others, mentioning their coping mechanisms and peculiar affinity for ducks. She finds it slightly unusual to witness similar behavior in a hardened criminal like Whisk. Whisk confesses to Meggy that she turned to a life of crime to settle her debts but is now trapped in an endless cycle of heists. Before Whisk can respond to Meggy's suggestion of changing her ways after their final heist, they skillfully navigate the laser security system using the keys and gain access to the vault. Whisk proceeds to collect the money, but their operation is disrupted when a stray diamond triggers the alarm system by rolling into a laser beam. This forces Meggy and Whisk to hastily retreat to the main lobby of the casino, where Froy, Doy, their pet tiger Tig Tig, and the guards, who have all become aware of their scheme, await their arrival. The group attempts to eliminate Meggy and Whisk but fails miserably, resulting in them being mauled by Tig Tig. This allows Meggy and Whisk to bypass their adversaries and escape with the assistance of Whisk's getaway pilot. Whisk returns Meggy's camera and expresses her confusion regarding its perceived significance.

After Whisk is imprisoned, Auri discloses that they have returned the money. He assumes that this means she will now continue her vacation. Meggy, however, expresses her desire to discuss this with him. She explains that she came to the island seeking fun and adventure, and she has indeed experienced a great deal of enjoyment and excitement while spending time with him. Meggy suggests that she might stay around and assist him with various tasks. Auri and Meggy capture a moment together by taking a selfie. Auri mentions that he could have simply given her a new camera if she wanted one. In response, Meggy explains that it's not the camera itself that matters, but rather the memories it holds within.

Sunset Paradise (EP 5: The Funk and the Furious)[]

After the incident where Meggy and Auri successfully stopped a robber, Auri praised Meggy for her assistance. However, Meggy couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness when someone mentioned that they hadn't experienced any stress since arriving on the island. Meggy had hoped to have a conversation with Auri about their plans for the day, but their discussion was interrupted by the sound of music. It turned out to be Franky Fresh and the Funky Force. Despite Auri's excitement, Meggy appeared visibly annoyed, frustrated, and completely uninterested. Auri tried to explain that the Funky Force were crime-fighting dancers, but Meggy remained indifferent. The Funky Force then introduced themselves, stating that they were there to offer one lucky fan the opportunity to join them in the Funk Truck and receive training to fight crime. This announcement sparked excitement in Auri, who eagerly decided to audition for the chance of a lifetime.

Later, inside the Funky Truck, Auri was engaged in his warm-up stretches while Meggy pondered the inexplicable phenomenon of its larger interior. Auri, in response, enlightened Meggy by expressing that through dance, anything was achievable. Meggy deduced that Auri held a deep reverence for the Funky Force, to which Auri confirmed by disclosing his role as a moderator on the Funky Force band forum and his collection of their rarest merchandise. Meggy, acknowledging Auri's unwavering dedication, conveyed that the Funky Force should be appreciative of having such an ardent fan. Following Auri's audition, the Funky Force declared his perfection, which brought joy to Auri. However, their elation was short-lived as the Funky Force revealed that it was not Auri they desired, but Meggy. This revelation left Meggy slightly bewildered and taken aback. The Funky Force proceeded to inform Meggy that she was the exact individual they had been searching for, a true dancer at heart. Meggy retorted, stating that she hadn't even auditioned. The Funky Force, asserting their infallibility, explained that it was not the technicality of her dance steps, but rather the passion within her heart that made her the ideal candidate. They extended an invitation for Meggy to join them on stage and play her part. Initially declining the offer, Meggy's refusal caused a momentary misunderstanding, as the Funky Force mistakenly believed she had accepted. However, Meggy clarified her stance by vehemently expressing her refusal, leaving the Funky Force astonished. Apologizing for the confusion, Meggy admitted that dancing was not her forte. She attempted to suggest Auri as a replacement, but the Funky Force dismissed the idea, deeming him unsuitable. Encouraged by Auri's support, Meggy ultimately agreed to join the Funky Force on the condition that Auri could accompany her as her supervisor. After deliberation, the Funky Force consented to Meggy's request.

The Funky Force imparted to Meggy and Auri the knowledge of their origins. Curiosity sparked within Auri as he questioned the Funky Force about the whereabouts of Joe Fresh, which visibly unsettled the Funky Force. Sensing the tension, Meggy urged Auri to provide more details. Auri revealed that Joe Fresh was the fifth member, but had only been mentioned in an ancient newspaper. The mention of Joe Fresh caused Franky Fresh to exclaim that they should not discuss him, causing both Meggy and Auri to freeze in their tracks. Phil Fresh interjected, explaining that Franky meant it was time for Meggy's preparation to commence. Meggy and Auri chose to disregard the previous comment. At the Funky Sanctum, the Funky Force informed Auri that Meggy would be treated as a member of the Funky Force, as she had been chosen to perform with them. Auri inquired about the start time for dance training, but to his dismay, the Funky Force members had already departed from the room. Meggy reassured Auri to remain calm, as they had both been performing exceptionally well. She attempted to persuade him to take a break. However, Auri insisted that constant training was the sole key to success, according to the Funky Force formula for fame and fortune. Assuming that the members were busy setting up, he decided to offer his assistance. Meggy opted to stay outside in case they returned.

Auri discovers that the Funky Force intends to harm the mayor and brainwash Meggy. The Funky Force admits that they attempted to be heroes in the past, but it didn't go well. They claim that there were people who relied on them, and they realized that pretending to be heroes was much easier than actually being one. Furthermore, they argue that being a hero requires the presence of a villain, and sometimes villains are scarce, so they create their own. Auri hastily leaves the room and rushes down the corridor when Meggy suddenly appears before him, appearing calm and drowsy. She questions what is happening, mentioning that she heard screams. Auri tries to explain the true motives of the Funky Force, but they accuse him of theft. Although Auri admits to the theft, he clarifies that it is not the reason he was there and criticizes the Funky Force for falsely framing him. Meggy assumes that Auri is simply jealous. Auri attempts to clarify, but Meggy interrupts him. Meggy acknowledges that she understands, explaining that they both had a challenging week and that Auri's meeting with his heroes didn't go as planned, causing him to panic. Feeling like he has failed, Auri runs away, shedding tears. Witnessing Auri's reaction, Meggy starts to feel guilty, thinking that she may have offended him in some way. However, the Funky Force assures her that Auri will be alright. Suddenly, Shadow Meggy reappears on a TV screen reflection and taunts Meggy for unintentionally pushing Auri away, mocking her for disregarding Auri's warning about the Funky Force. Shortly after, Meggy is captured and brainwashed by the Funky Force.

Sunset Paradise (EP 6: Saturday Night Funkin’)[]

Meggy has been subjected to brainwashing in order to carry out the task of destroying the mayor. Initially, Meggy expressed her intentions to destroy the mayor alongside Auri. However, the Funky Force contradicts this by stating that the deputy would only attempt to stop her and that he is also evil. This revelation causes Meggy to break free from the effects of brainwashing and defend Auri's character, acknowledging that he is a good person and one of the best individuals she knows. In response, the Funky Force intensifies the brainwashing machine's power, causing Meggy to experience pain. They insist that Auri is evil and must be eliminated as he would protect the mayor. Later on, Auri attempts to address the crowd, but the Funky Force intervenes. They bring out Meggy, who starts dancing on stage. Auri approaches Meggy, intending to save her, but is taken aback by her angry and intense expression. Franky Fresh hands the microphone to Meggy, and she expresses her gratitude. Meggy informs the audience that she is thrilled to be a part of the Funky Force team and mentions her exciting performance planned for the mayor. Despite Auri's efforts to persuade Meggy to reconsider, he is interrupted and physically removed before he can finish his sentence. Franky Fresh assures the audience that they will thoroughly enjoy Meggy's performance and suggests that the town deputy, who is also present, should witness it as well. He encourages Meggy to take the stage and impress everyone.

When the song commences, Meggy launches an attack on Auri and the mayor. Auri skillfully evades Meggy's kick, but Meggy manages to land a blow on Auri. Auri finds himself in front of the mayor on the stage, prompting the mayor to remark that he was unaware of the performance involving audience interaction. Auri once again tries to warn the mayor, emphasizing that it was not a performance and that his life was in peril. Auri glances back and notices Meggy approaching him. In an attempt to escape, Auri turns around, only to find Phil Fresh blocking his path. Auri requests the mayor to stand behind him, and as Meggy tries to strike Auri, she restrains herself, not wanting to harm her friend. Meggy implores Auri to halt the music. In response, Auri hurls his spear at the DJ booth, momentarily ceasing the music. Auri swiftly seizes a rope and lifts the mayor to ensure his safety, simultaneously diverting Meggy's attention. However, Auri is suddenly knocked down by the Funky Force, who accuses him of treachery and harboring animosity towards the mayor. The Funky Force instructs the mayor to remain in place while they proceed to pummel Auri across the stage until he reaches the applause signal. Auri conceives an idea and alters the signal to "boo." Consequently, the audience begins to boo and hurl objects at the Funky Force. Auri deftly navigates towards the DJ section, however, Meggy catches sight of him and endeavors to deliver a kick. Auri skillfully evades the assault, resulting in Meggy unintentionally striking and impairing the DJ booth, thereby freeing Meggy from the clutches of mind-control.

Auri inquired about Meggy's well-being, to which she assured him that she was fine and expressed her gratitude, acknowledging that she owed him. Auri proposed that she could repay him immediately by saving each other from the murderous supervillains. The Funky Force, adamant about not being interrupted during their show, falsely accused Auri and Meggy of attempting to harm the mayor. Consequently, they successfully turned the entire town against them, forcing Meggy and Auri to flee while being pursued by an angry mob. Auri took the initiative to barricade the door, prompting Yam to suggest that they might need a larger cell to accommodate the entire town. Auri instructed Yam to cease talking and return to the vacuum cleaner. However, they soon realized that someone had released all the prisoners. Curious, Meggy inquired with the Spud Budds about the identity of the person responsible for their freedom. Whisk informed Meggy that the deputy was not the only one under supervision. They encountered an individual who appeared to be an egg, prompting Meggy to question whether her mind was still disoriented or if an egg was truly conversing with them. The egg, who referred to himself as Sir Benedict Cumbersnatch, clarified that he was not actually an egg but had been trapped inside an egg-shaped body by Sheriff Aloysius Bori after he killed him a century ago. Sir Benedict explained his intention to utilize the Phenix Egg to reverse the curse imposed upon him by the late sheriff and regain his true form. Feeling defeated, Meggy and Auri found themselves at a loss, while Benedict instructed one of his henchmen to bring a gift before departing. The henchman arrived with a bomb, setting it to detonate in 20 seconds, after which the criminals made their exit. Moments later, the entire location erupted in an explosion.

Sunset Paradise (EP 7: What Comes Next)[]

It has been disclosed that Meggy and Auri narrowly escaped the explosion by seeking refuge inside a titanium vacuum cleaner, only to find themselves in a junkyard. Upon inspecting her suitcase, Meggy discovers that her camera has been damaged beyond repair. Consequently, she decides to discard it. Observing Auri's departure, Meggy inquires about his destination. Auri responds by stating his intention to confront Benedict. Meggy obstructs his path and questions Auri's plan, highlighting the omnipresence of criminals in the city, the animosity towards them, and their lack of weaponry to defend themselves. Auri asserts that he possesses a weapon and proceeds to unveil his spear. Pleading with him, Meggy expresses her concern that Benedict will kill Auri. In response, Auri assures Meggy that just as his grandfather was able to stop Benedict, he can do the same. Meggy counters by emphasizing that while his grandfather was a genuine sheriff, Auri is not. Auri retorts by suggesting that if Meggy is unwilling to assist him, she can remain in the safe confines of their current location. After Auri departs, a reflection of Shadow Meggy materializes in a mirror and admonishes Meggy, acknowledging that despite being born from a "bad concussion" that Meggy experienced, she recognizes Meggy's mistakes.

Later, Aziz finds himself being assaulted by a group of thugs and urgently calls for assistance. Auri, fully prepared for combat, witnesses the situation and rushes to intervene. However, before Auri can engage in the fight, Meggy unexpectedly steps in and strikes one of the goons with a stone, urging Auri not to face them alone. Auri, concerned for Meggy's safety, instructs her to leave the scene, assuring her that he can handle the situation himself. Despite his confidence, Auri's attack ultimately fails. Meggy points out that Auri clearly cannot handle the situation alone. In response, Auri questions why Meggy cannot trust that others are capable of defending themselves. Meggy explains that when impulsive, reckless, and overconfident individuals like Auri take action, things often go awry. Suddenly, Shadow Meggy appears and warns Meggy that if Auri were to die, it would be her fault, just like in the past. Auri refutes Meggy's claim of overconfidence. However, a goon unexpectedly hurls an ice cream cart, catching Meggy off guard and causing her to be struck. Auri realizes that Meggy was right all along. Aziz comments that this is the consequence of engaging in conversation during a fight, a sentiment that Meggy agrees with. Meggy advises Auri to leave before he too gets hurt. Auri implores Meggy to trust him and act as his partner. Auri cleverly uses a chocolate egg-shaped marshmallow to deceive the goonies, making them believe it is Benedict. Following Meggy's instructions, Auri throws the marshmallow at the wall, causing the goonies to collide with it and render themselves unconscious. Aziz questions Meggy if she intends to pay for the damaged egg. Meggy defends their actions, stating that they just saved Aziz's life. Aziz lets the matter go and assists in removing the cart from Meggy. Meggy expresses gratitude towards Auri for not abandoning her, and Auri reciprocates by thanking her for helping him become a better deputy. They both realize that time is running out as they notice the lighthouse is illuminated, prompting them to make their way towards it.

Sunset Paradise (EP 8: Mad Meggy)[]

The Spud Budds are depicted as enforcing Benedict's newly implemented laws, attempting to harm an Aura Bora for disregarding the curfew regulations. However, Meggy and Auri successfully overpower them and restrain them in an inverted position. The duo proceeds to interrogate them regarding the means to access the Borealis Lighthouse, but they confess their lack of knowledge due to its robust security measures. Subsequently, two individuals from the community arrive and propose seeking assistance from the mayor, as he was initially designated to lead the parade to the lighthouse and is likely familiar with various entry points. After careful consideration, Meggy decides to search for the mayor. Prior to this, the two citizens apologize to Meggy and Auri for betraying them in the sixth episode and agree to monitor the Spud Budds. Aziz even brandishes a large popsicle covered in nails, which intimidates the Spud Budds.

Whisk engages in a conversation with one of the Goonies outside the mayor's office building, questioning whether Benedict neglected to provide them with a brain during their genetic engineering. Auri informs Meggy that they must enter discreetly to avoid Whisk and the Goonie alerting Benedict about their presence. Meggy instructs Auri to hold onto a rope she possesses so that she can snatch Whisk's laser gun and use it to cut through the window. Meanwhile, Whisk is applying makeup to the Goonie, while Meggy attempts to stealthily approach and steal her laser gun. However, this plan fails due to the interference of a couple of inconvenient birds. Consequently, Auri accidentally drops the rope that Meggy is entangled in, causing her to fall and startle Whisk with a sudden, loud noise. Whisk scans the surroundings to identify the source of the noise and discovers Meggy, realizing that she survived Benedict's explosive trap. She swiftly requests the Goonie's assistance in attacking, but Auri accidentally drops his hat onto her face, causing her mask to come off and her cowardly, antisocial personality to resurface once again. After colliding with the Goonie, she regains consciousness and immediately notices a bird snatching her mask and flying away with it. Horrified, she attempts to chase the birds in a desperate bid to retrieve her mask, providing Meggy with an opportunity to steal her laser gun and make her escape. Upon entering the mayor's office, the mayor panics, assuming that they have returned to assassinate him due to the previous events in episode 6. Meggy and Auri clarify that they have no intention of harming him; instead, they seek his assistance in taking down the Funky Force and Benedict, as they have been framed. They explain that they require his help to gain access to the lighthouse. However, Mayor Bora refuses and attempts to flee, but Auri intervenes and reminds him that he was chosen as their leader by the magic 8 ball, expressing his weariness of constantly running away. This revelation surprises Meggy, who remarks that it clarifies a lot. Auri informs Mayora Bora that safeguarding Port Aurora is both their responsibility, despite their perceived weakness. They have a history of emerging resiliently, akin to the powerful phoenix, and retaliating against adversity. Recognizing the truth in Auri's words, Mayora Bora resolves to lend their assistance. Subsequently, they embark on their journey towards the lighthouse.

On the journey towards the lighthouse, the Funky Force obstructs the path with their Funky Bus. Mayora Bora halts his van as the Funky Force surrounds him. Mayora Bora greets them and wishes them a happy Phenix Festival. Franky Fresh opens the door and informs him that the festival has been canceled, promptly ejecting him from the vehicle, emphasizing that he should have been aware of this fact. Mayora Bora mentions that Sheriff Benidict wants to meet him at the lighthouse, and Franky Fresh fires a laser in his vicinity. Franky Fresh warns Mayora Bora that he has one opportunity to disclose the whereabouts of Meggy and Auri. He also assures him that he will be allowed to return to his office relatively unharmed. The Funky Force launches a barrage of lasers at Mayora Bora, who reveals that Meggy and Auri are hiding in the back of the van. However, upon inspection, they discover that the van is empty. Suddenly, Meggy and Auri emerge from the egg atop Mayora Bora's van and steal the Funk Truck. The Funky Force pursues them on roller blades and quickly catches up, but their efforts are thwarted when the heroes successfully hack into their security system and activate the van's defense mode (surprisingly, the password for the defense mode turns out to be "Funk"). The Funk Truck activates a disco laser mini gun, which fires at the Funky Force, albeit with limited accuracy. Meggy instructs Auri to take the wheel while she operates the disco laser mini gun, managing to slow down the Funky Force. Just as Meggy and Auri approach the gate of the lighthouse, the Funky Force initiates their "signature move": the Funky Flare, as a final attempt to halt them. They come close to succeeding, but Mayora Bora returns in his own van to intercept the attack, sacrificing his life and thwarting the plans of the Funky Force.

Upon realizing that the mayor had not survived, Meggy and Auri proceeded to enter the lighthouse gate. Overwhelmed with sorrow, Auri started to grieve, but Meggy comforted him by reminding him that the mayor had fulfilled his duties and now it was their turn to do the same. Auri regained his composure and vowed to remember the mayor, while Meggy pondered the mayor's true identity. Auri informed Meggy that uncovering the mayor's real name would be their next mission once they had dealt with Benedict.

Sunset Paradise (EP 9: All Fall Down)[]

They climbed the lighthouse to finish Benedict once and for all. Once they reached the tower, Benedict stood in their way. The two got past Benedict and climbed to the top. Benedict then started shooting at Auri until Meggy arrived at the top. Benedict then charged a laser, preparing to kill Meggy. Auri then jumped into the laser, preventing it from reaching Meggy. Upon being shot, Auri falls to the ground, coughing, with Meggy crying while telling him that they're going to get through this. Auri then dies, giving Meggy even more motivation to kill Benedict. She leaps up into the air, only to be stopped by Whisk.

SUNSET PARADISE - EP10: Rebirth (FINALE)[]

The two girls faced each other in a combat stance, while Benedict observed with eager anticipation for the confrontation to commence. Meggy brandished a spear gun and fired at Whisk, who skillfully evaded the shot and urged Meggy to concede and retreat, asserting that this battle was not hers to fight. In retaliation, Whisk shot Meggy in the shoulder with her laser gun, and they exchanged blows. Suddenly, Shadow Meggy appeared, advising Meggy that Whisk was correct, as she had already experienced failure. As Meggy grappled with her insecurities and the humbling experience at the hands of Whisk, she declared her intention to obtain the Phoenix egg to resurrect Auri. Benedict cautioned Meggy that achieving this would be more challenging than she anticipated, revealing that he intended to use the Phoenix egg on himself shortly to restore his true form. He suggested that she could always wait another hundred years, as he had, unless Whisk fulfilled her duty and killed her. Whisk then provocatively suggested that Benedict should take action himself before releasing hallucination gas on Meggy, reminding her that she had been warned to flee. Whisk continued to dominate the fight, leaving Meggy battered, bruised, and exhausted. Benedict remarked that Meggy had surprisingly impressed him, suggesting that in another life, she might have made a commendable henchwoman. Whisk then brandished her laser gun, offering Meggy one final opportunity to retreat. However, Meggy resolutely stated that she could not abandon someone in need. In a final surge of determination and adrenaline, Meggy seized Whisk’s right arm, redirecting the laser blast to strike Benedict’s aircraft, causing him to lose control. She then humbled and defeated Whisk before using the spear gun to retrieve the Phoenix egg from Benedict. The egg hatched, bringing Auri back to life. Overjoyed, Meggy embraced him tightly, and Auri inquired if she was crying, to which Meggy replied that the tears were merely from the pain of being struck in the face.

Benedict regained control of his vehicle and informed Meggy that if she desired pain, he would oblige by firing at her and Auri, who narrowly evaded the attack. He expressed his disdain for what he deemed idiotic, meddlesome, and insignificant children, asserting that if they believed they had thwarted him, they were mistaken. Instead, their actions had merely delayed him by another century and intensified his murderous rage to unprecedented levels. He commanded Whisk to prepare to eliminate the children, but Whisk, feeling shy after her mask had been dislodged, hesitated. Benedict urged her to rise and confront the situation, labeling her a coward and threatening to hold her mother accountable for her perceived shortcomings. Meggy advised Whisk to abandon the fight, asserting that it was not her battle. Auri reassured Whisk that he and Meggy would ensure Benedict could not harm anyone further, prompting Whisk to flee, stating that Benedict did not compensate her sufficiently for this ordeal. Auri then remarked to Benedict that he appeared to be alone, while Meggy pointed out his failure, reminiscent of the previous Phenix Festival. Benedict reminded them that during that event, he had also killed a Sheriff. In their climactic confrontation, they inflicted damage on Benedict's craft until it became unstable and ultimately exploded, while Meggy and Auri successfully leaped away from the blast and descended the lighthouse.

The following day, Meggy and Auri found themselves on the beach, comfortably settled in lawn chairs. Meggy inquired if Auri had finally received his badge, to which he responded that he wanted to allow her at least one day of relaxation before her departure the next day. Meggy reassured Auri that she would return soon, questioning how she could possibly stay away, especially since the location was truly a Sunset Paradise. At that moment, Aziz interrupted, enthusiastically announcing the arrival of ice cream, specifically two Bam Bam Banana Fam Ice Creams for heroes, expressing that the Minions were grateful as they served those who shouted the loudest. The Minions tossed the ice cream to Meggy and Auri, who successfully caught it. Auri then excused himself, having forgotten something, while Meggy placed her ice cream cone in the sand. Suddenly, Shadow Meggy appeared and asked Meggy if there was anything she wished to accomplish in life. Meggy passionately declared that her purpose was to assist those in need. Once Meggy had clarified her thoughts and established her goal, Shadow Meggy disappeared for the time being. Auri returned with a new camera as a farewell gift, prompting Meggy to express her gratitude before capturing a selfie with him prior to her departure the following day.
